The Norfolk Tank Museum is an independent military museum located in Forncett St. Peter, Norfolk, specializing in armored vehicles and military equipment from the 20th century and the Cold War. The collection includes approximately 30 military vehicles, including tanks, armored vehicles, and an extensive collection of British small arms. One notable exhibit is the Centurion AVRE 165, the only surviving Crossley-Kégresse 20-30 cwt half-track vehicle, and a replica of the British World War I Mark IV, known as Deborah II.

Main attractions:

Tanks and armored vehicles: The collection includes various models such as the Centurion Mk 13, the Chieftain Mk 2, and the Alvis Saladin. Visitors have the opportunity to view some of these vehicles from the inside and learn more about their functions and capabilities.

Small arms and equipment: The museum houses an impressive collection of small arms, including pistols, rifles, and machine guns from different eras. This collection offers insight into the development and diversity of military equipment in the 20th century.

Vehicle experiences: For visitors seeking a more immersive experience, the museum offers the opportunity to ride in vehicles such as the Hagglunds BV206 All-Terrain Vehicle. These rides allow participants to experience the off-road capabilities and performance of the vehicles up close.

Events: The museum regularly hosts events such as "Armourfest," where various vehicles are showcased in action. These events provide a unique opportunity to see the vehicles in motion and learn more about their capabilities.

The most incredible tank museum and camp site! 2nd time we've visited and definitely worth the 3 hour drive from Nottinghamshire. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable - wonderful to see different generations passing on their knowledge and passion - and the young man who works there was an inspiration, Thank you. I'm a teacher and I bring my 9 year old here as it is perfect to inspire any young minds into STEM and engineering. Incredible range of tanks ranging from the WW1 reconstruction made famous by the Guy Martin documentary up to modern 60 tonne war machines!!! There is a cafe, shop and playground and you can even camp the night! There is a shower block and everything you need... A once in a lifetime chance to park your van and pitch up next to tanks and armoured vehicles. We will be coming back again and again. Thank you Norfolk Tank Museum for making us feel so welcome. Keep up the incredible work. Tom and Ruben.

I found this to be quite expensive and more of a 'collection' than a museum. If you don't know what you're looking at, there's no information boards to tell you. Wouldn't bother going back, as I've left there knowing nothing more than when I arrived. Could have been a more informative experience.

What an amazing hidden treasure trove of Heavy armaments, Ordinance, Firearms. My partner and I were met by a most welcoming chap who showed us around the ww1 tank before leading us to the cheiftan... I'm taking a good look around when the extremely nice chap says "do you want to get in it?" Why yes sir.. yes I do. And I did. Never before have I found anywhere that let's you get up close and inside their display vehicles . In one Visit we had a nice cup of tea, I got inside a tank or 3 , held a gun that may have been at Rorks Drift (I mean it definitley has been there I believe I saw it in the film Zulu, third one along in act 7 so it must have been the one Truly great place to visit and make sure you talk to the team of volunteers there. They are only too eager to share their knowledge and experiences of this amazing collection. Will visit again and again

We found our visit here quite overwhelming. The exhibits on display are great, with information boards dotted around. I liked the fact there are several interactive displays too. The problem we found was we were unable to enjoy the experience because of the volunteers. They're doing great work and are incredibly enthusiastic, too enthusiastic in fact. For the entire duration of our visit, we were followed by people, firing information at us then dragging us along to the next display and doing it again. We didn't get a chance to stop and enjoy what we were looking at. Towards the end, we visited the gun section for a quick look but ended up in there for around 20 minutes being told incredibly detailed information about every single item on display. It was quite tiring. We then got trapped in the gun section as its a very small entrance / exit and several other volunteers had gathered in the doorway chatting to each other so got stuck in there a bit longer, feeling quite awkward. In the end our visit was cut short as we felt we needed to escape while we could as I genuinely felt worn out from listening to it all.

Fairly small museum but very reasonably priced. The cafe serving hot food and drink also very well priced which is rare now! Kids meals all under £4. The tanks outside don't seem to be running and look a little tired but the indoor examples look lovely! Very well restored with lots of information. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. We felt a little overwhelmed by all the information the staff had for us at times, but we aren't massively knowledgable in the history of war and military equipment. Overall it was a good way to spend a Sunday for £9 a person. The staff clearly adore this place and it is full of history for enthusiasts.

We've been to the Norfolk Tank Museum three times now and twice for Armourfest. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, open to questions and will help where they can. Lovely hands on museum where you can get really up close and personal with the vehicles.

Went for the ArmourFest. Yearly event in August. Brilliant. If you like tanks, you're love this place. Check out they website for their next ArmourFest program. There was a lot of WW2 tanks and vehicles with the assorted paraphernalia that goes with WW2 (kit, guns etc). They had a WW2 re-enactment which was also very good. This is where Deborah - the WW1 tank (Guy Martin tv show) is. The museum is also worth a visit.

Enjoyed the visit with one complaint. The disabled toilet had no paper hand towels and nowhere to deposit them if it had, although there was a hand basin available. Many disabled people require a reception for soiled or wet pads or napkins again this was missing. I had difficulty in positioning my wheelchair as the cubicle was on the small side. Anyone with an automatic pr powered scooter would stand no chance.

Absolutely amazing tank museum Really great team . We went round with a lovely man called Leo he was amazing and explained things in a great way and really knowledgeable about the tanks . Also I apologise as I never asked her name but the lady at the cafe was lovely and she generally seemed interested in our reasons for coming and the hot chocolate was very goodシ. Thank you for a wonderful day Excellent for kids who are interested in history And anyone who is interested in history

A fantastic experience for all of the family. Steve gave us a tour and an experience in some vehicles. Our son thoroughly enjoyed it. Steve is a great host, very knowledgable and has all the time for our sons questions.
